Leica II with Hektor and Hektor hood!!! Lens need to be 11'o clock for Leica II. Leica II is brown vulcanite and export version.
Am I the only one who think the 1G is one of the most beautiful Leica LTM with the Leica logo in front?!

Pandachief, You have an amazing collection. Thanks for posting. I have a 1934 Nickel III. The vulcanite was brownish, like tobacco stain. When I treated the vulcanite, to avoid drying and cracking, as recommended in the Leica FAQ-vulcanite-nemeng article, the vulcanite became richer in black and there was this brown-greenish residue on the cleaning rag. I read later that it may be metal oxidation through the years. I cleaned it again a year later with the same result, but less oxidation of the metal bleeding through the vulcanite. I do not know if Leica used brown vulcanite. Perhaps the vulcanite on your II may be from oxidation.

Yes let me try to clean it further to find out! Leica do have many colours of Vulcanite but I always have the impression that the more I clean it the more brown it will become.
Take grey IIIc as an example, they have many different levels of grey vulcanite and you can chase them by serial number. Certain batch have very grey and certain batch almost black.
