There are 3 versions of this lens each a with different weight. The one I have is ver 2, the lightest with a slim mount (Leica catalogue 11912). I don't have a scale to weight it but it is approx. 800-900gm; hence, it is relatively a very light 280mm. Ver 1 and 3 of this lens all weight 1200-1300gm.
To use it on M bodies, need a) Visoflex II or III + Leica 16466 extension tube or, b) directly with Visoflex I or c) 3rd party equivalent connection tube(s). Ver.3 of this lens is M mount (rest are all screw mount) and can only be used with Visoflex II/III + 16466.
