Well said I personally quite appreciate the following quote from Bertolt Brecht: Art is not a mirror to reflect reality but a hammer to shape it. I personally quite passionate and enjoy using my camera to "hammer" the daily changes of environments that I'm familiar with like places I go to daily, weekly...even it's just a matter of weather change or lighting change that creates a different visual experience. Over time this becomes my personal memoir and some of which may even be part of a collective memory (集體回憶) as it wouldn't be surprising that some of these images incidentally also captured the changes of spaces especially public spaces (公共空間).
Lately I'm trying to learn more about the possibility of photography in humanities like recently reading books on photography and urbanism, visual sociology and using photography as an art form for cultural resistance.
One particular book I love to share with the gentlemen here is a Taiwanese translation publication titled "軍艦島" by a Japanese photographer 大橋弘.
