Rarest BIG M3
According to Cameraquest, the earliest ELC M3 bears the S/N 746451 and production of first lot was just 50 pieces. Details as below:1/1/1955 M3 ELC (Exact Date Unrecorded)
Serial no. from 746451 to 746500 (50 pieces made)
For sure, there are different sources cited otherwise. Thus the one which I collected yearssssssss ago when I was in Saskatchewan might not be the "First One" but neither disputable nor controversial to claim it as the very FIRST LOT of Leica BIG M3. It seems to me more precious is that it should be DS but was factory converted as SS!!!

Cosmetic Condition: About 90% new, beautiful top plate, paint off at back door, a dent at rleft corner, and at the back right above the back door
Leather: a little peeled off at left hand corner, close to the bottom plate.
Mechanical: CLA last year at Panda. Crispy shutter, silky smooth curtain. Accurate speed from SLOW to FAST. High contrasy rangefinder, crystal clear viewfinder
Considering the rarest of it, I guess my price tag is more than reasonable, but remains accept sensible offer. Don't miss the chance to get such a precious M3.
