I love my LTM

Leica 1A, Mushroom shutter release, early type covering with matching external rangefinder. The knobs have special "square" pattern which is very unique and rare!
Arrow on knobs, appears on some early 1A. Knobs are lower type.. hood is earliest type with "square" front open. Leica Standard. With external range finder that match it's year of production. Different to the type on 1A. Sexy back dial of the external finder. The entire rangefinder can swing sideway to allow access to the shutter speed dial! Very good design! Leica II, with self timer and right angle finder to allow viewing the finders at 90 degree.Lens is rigid summer. My favourite LTM lens! Hood is the earliest type with Hektor and 3.5 Elmar engraving. Earliest Leica II with shinny chrome finish. Match with chrome rigid summer and chrome FIKUS hood which were only made in N.Y. Look at the side of base plate you can see how shinny it is! Also the Leica handstrap!! What a design!! Earliest Leica III also have shinny chrome. The Leica II needs a slow speed shutter, leica III will need a external self timer. The self timer is an early all black version. Later one with silver round dial, less rare. Leica II and III shinny chrome together with two rigid summer chrome, approx 200 made total. The chrome summer hood is very rare and only produce in N.Y. as well. Same as the rare chrome FIKUS. Leica III black paint.. with rapid winder, rare in black paint and nickel. All black 73 1.9 is the first fast tele from Leica.... all black is my favourite of course! 4 BP LTM... My favourite is the 1A.. it is just so unique.. look at the skit texture and the square pattern on the rewind knobs.. Leica IIIa, with early 2 speed MOOLY and a same period meter.... Light meters are one interesting item in collecting Leica too! The back, MOOLY won't work without the trigger arm.... and the meter, it is sexy! Two speed is either one frame per second or two frames per second. Isn't it very advance in such early years. Later they gave up the 2 speed mechanism as it is too difficult to produce and maintain.. only approx. 400 made. Leica IIIC military. MOOLY-C black paint. MOOLY-C is all internal and no arm required. approx 300 - 400 made. I love it matching the square hood.. lens is also same batch of military shipment. They are like this as a set during the war. Match the finder with the hood!! Looks so good together!
