i am also surprised about the high rating on this drama..

It is quite a good drama and definitely deserve the high ratings from the local audience in japan.
However, although i didn't work on corporate finance, the M&A deal in the drama is really 得啖笑 {:4_116:}
And the extra funny bit is it seems that japanese banks like to print EVERYTHING on paper!!!! (any ching worked in japanese banks could shed some light on whether this is true or not??)

FAX is still very popular in Japan...and yes..paper is still used quite a lot in the corporate world (at least it still was 5 years ago)
